Brown Betty Teapot

The Brown Betty teapot is considered the quintessential British collectable teapot.

Adderley Ceramics manufacture authentic Brown Betty teapots using well-researched traditions and crafted methods. Our Brown Betty Teapots are created with the same red clay as used by the original pottery makers of yesteryear. Furthermore, the shape of our teapot is based on authentic Brown Betty antiques dated back to WWII.

Rockingham Brown Glaze is applied as a finishing touch; this famous unique glaze gives the teapots its distinctive look, helping to keep away unsightly tea stains. Adderley Ceramics strive to create a high-quality version of the original Brown Betty teapot, using only the original and esteemed red clay first discovered by the Elder Brothers.

It is manufactured here at Adderley Ceramics.

Note: The teapot is not recommended for microwave or dishwasher use or with a chemical water softener system.

  • Made in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.
  • The back stamp under the teapot base reads: “Original Betty, Made in England, Adderley Ceramics.”
  • The “Union Jack” shown is a removable sticker.
